Installed CrashPlan from the app central. It works very well on my Asustor NAS (OS: AMD 2.4.2). Some info below that may assist some people.
Minor problems encountered:
.ui_info & ui.properties files found in different locations than indicated in the instructions after installing the Windows version of the CrashPlan application on a PC running MS Windows 10 and installed for the current user only.
No “serviceHost” line in the ui.properties file. Easily added of course and you can use a NetBIOS name after the “serviceHost=” line instead of a fixed IP address (Example: serviceHost=MyNAS).
Simple enhancement:
On the PC, disabled the start-up of CrashPlanService and Tray Interface in Windows 10’s Task Manager’s Startup section (used be accessible via “MsConfig”). After a reboot you then have a clean “Interface Only” installation of CrashPlan on that PC.
