+1 but I doubt with the current Atom processor, especially the AS6, 2, 3, will it be able to handle the 1080P streaming and in the mean time handling all the NAS functions? Maybe an overkill...

Very likely to never happen, at least not as a dedicated app.

Netflix closed their API to prevent people from using devices such as NASes from playing the stream. They develop the apps for things like the Roku and Chromecast and not the device manufacturer.

This is part of their copy protection scheme. Studios were getting upset that Netflix branded video was being openly pirated, so Netflix closed some loops, and now no one can use their service without going through official apps or a web browser.

Netflix won't play thru the portal, because chrome is outdated. My chrome is from 2013. Can't see that anywhere that chrome ever been updated......... Or is it just me?
