Sleep

Post by doktah »

This is the third Asustor NAS I’ve had over the years and for the life of me I can’t seem to put this model to (S3) sleep.

The previous two models I could go through, Settings->Hardware->Sleep Mode or when I had finished for the day I would select, ADM->(User name)->Sleep.

Even under the, “When the power button is held down for 1.5 seconds” setting the only option I have is to “Shut down NAS”.

Model: AS6706T.
ADM: 4.2.6.RPI1
Bios: 1.22

4 x IronWolf 12TB, AS-T10G3 10Gbe network card with 2 x 2TB NVMe drives fitted.

FWIW, tried different LAN ports just in case the 10Gbe card had an effect.

Any pointers appreciated.

The EuP mode has only ever been set to disable.

Thanks anyway.

Then you should open a ticket with Asustor Support because your NAS supports S3.

Interesting, I thought it might have been user error.

I’ll contact support and see what they say.

Thanks.

For anyone else facing the same issue, installing the AS-T10G3 10Gbe network card disables (S3) Sleep functionality.

The plan is to notify the owner through an on-screen message in a future ADM update.
