Sonarr v3 request

I'm going to throw it out there and see if possibly someone could be able to make sonarr v3 available as v2 stopped getting any new updates months ago and it seems v3 is the way to go.. i assume it probably won't be possible to upgrade current v2 to v3, so a new standalone v3 installer would probably be necessary..

thank you! I tried to locate the user "Patrick" but couldn't find it in the members section.. I ended up looking through some older posts and found him (aat least I hope it was the right person). I sent him an email so fingers crossed!

You can actually install v3 yourself. The v2 is currently under latest tag, you can pull the preview tag for v3 or any specific version. Details here https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/sonarr

looks like i am currently running the pre docker v2 of sonarr which is 2.0.0.4885 and within the app it has been updated to latest v2.. i will try installing the docker v2 of sonarr 2.0.0.5338 and see if i can update it to v3 that way.. thanks for the tip!

I've built Sonarr v3 package and sent the request to ASUSTOR for internal testing today.
It should be released to App Central next week.

Since Sonarr v3 is still in Beta stage, so, this App will also be released as Beta App.

that's awesome! thank you so much.. just quick question, not sure if you would know, but will v3 utilize the same locations for the databases as v2 or will there be no way to import those v2 databases into v3?

I cannot sure if v3 can be directly upgrade from v2 or not.
It's better to use them separately to avoid any error since v3 is still in Beta stage.
I just separate the config and data of v3 from v2 version, and the App is different with the original one, it's located in Beta Apps of App Central. The app has been released to App Central today.

I think the v2 will eventually evolve to v3. Seen somewhere there's report using the v2 backup successfully restored to v3. But don't take my word on it as I didn't really look into it, still using 2.0.0.5344.
