I did it! Selected the correct time zone and after restarting domoticz, it's looks like the correct timezone and sunrise and sunset are shown.

Merci beaucoup Philippe!

Btw, was the first time I logged in using root access.

is just a command line to switch from A.D.M. to the Ubuntu environment (even you don't know how and where) ... Ubuntu env. is a chroot a jail isolated (at minima) environment that use it's own context and libraries AND NOT the A.D.M. one.

... so just follow the command as is and normally you can move to the correct time zone (even your place in the world)

Hi,

For low level software .. it's some time mandatory BUT do it ONLY if it's recommended ... for all others case, use admin user for managing A.D.M.
due to the fact that admin and root share same password ... be sure to secure as possible it ... if it's enough secure (as your admin password) ... don't worry
In a future version, I will add tools to permit the use of admin (even by moving (hidden), for specific task, to root).

Philippe.
NB I have discover some things to change (out of domoticz) so I will prepare a patch or an update IN CASE of update of APKG and if it's ALREADY a 2020.2 (or +) version ... domoticz and ubuntu are not changed ... so only bash/ash shell scripts

Thanx for explaining Philippe. I never used root because it's too powerful. So I always use admin user or some other user I created with less privileges. Security over everything.

Thank you again for all the help and effort you are putting into this.ASUSTOR should pay you for helping so many people out with their products really!

Hi,

Update available for the APKG (for domoticz use after internal domoticz mechanism)

READ the changelog here before
READ update method from 2020.2.0 (due to problems from Asustor tools (not GNU)

Hello Philippe
I have an AS3102Tv2 NAS with Domoticz installed on it.
It is based on an x64 64bits
Will it be possible to install the Release Candidate APKG for Domoticz 2020.2?.

Thanks

I don't know all the Asustor series ... so please do :
open a ssh terminal and execute the command : uname -a ... and post result here.
For Intel series ... only model using really a 64 bits kernel can use Domoticz x86_64
... 32 bits are not yet supported (it's under works but ... I have not scheduled the output)

if uname confirm it's a x86_64 kernel ... you can use it .

Hi Philippe
uname -a responds well in x86_64 :D
I am a beginner for the configuration of a NAS and in the use of Linux :) would it be possible to have a step by step procedure to help the installation of this version :?
It may be asking too much, but I may not be alone in this case.

Hi Philippe,

The procedure is not specific to Domoticz but same, for installation, to any APKG (Asustor Package)

1 download the apk corresponding in to your model's architecture (in this case x86_64) ... to your PC
2 connect to the web admin of the NAS
3 start App. Central
4 select in left menu manual install
5 select the file you just download (.apk)
6 answer to the short questions (are you sure ?, etc.) and install
... now be patient, multiple phase run in background.
7 when finished quit App. Central
8 ON desktop of the Web admin ... a new icon : Domoticz will be present, click on to launch Domoticz user / admin interface

After it's not an A.D.M. configuration ... but Domoticz ... use documentation and help from Domoticz.

Philippe.
