ASUSTOR upgrade Xorg, ASUSTOR Portal and Firefox to solve the playback issues in Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify web site last week.
This Xorg version (10.14.8.R107) is based on the version for AS5202T/AS5304T, and applied to other x86-64 models (AS31/32/50/51/61/62/63/64/70).

Current kodi 17.6 seems got compatibility issue with new Xorg, please get kodi 18.0 if you upgrade Xorg to 10.14.8.R107.

Even that kodi 18.0 can support 4K 10bits videos playback, but it MUST need new Intel CPU inside.
Based on Intel information, ApolloLake (AS6302T/AS6404T) should support Decode only.
Please try if AS6302T/AS6404T can support or not, I don't have these 2 models.

To install kodi 18.0 for other x86-64 models may not successfully playback 4K 10bits videos, but performance should be better,
and it's compatible with Xorg 10.14.8.R107.

P.S: This kodi 18.0 can support to playback DD / DTS audio codec, please remove original "mykodi_patch" if you installed.

Testing package:

Is this the most recent version 18.5? I have 17.6, will this upgrade my current version or install separately?
Finally got around to installing this. It in fact did upgrade v17.6 to v18.0. All of my libraries are intact and addons still work. Screen calibration stayed intact
.I run the Aerial screensaver with "apple content" and works great! V17.6 would always crash and Watchdog wouldn't update my library content.
V18.0 has been stable so far. No crashes in 3 days and the Multichannel audio is back.

Kodi 18 I did a clean install. The English version works with the As-6204T, but when the language changes (Turkish), the view settings are broken. Kodi and asustor portal crashes.
I'm back to the Kodi 17.6 Turkish version.
Sorry for the bad English. I used Google translate. Thanks for your work on Patrick kodi.

Works on my 6204T, but 4K is shaky
- H265 3840x1632 Planar 4:2:0 YUV 10-bit LE with AC3 sound consumes 99% of the cpu continuously.

Thanks a lot to make this possible. We've missed kodi since asustor ended support :(

Hi,

I am newbie to both Asustor as well as this forum. Please kindly help to guide me installing Kodi into my newly purchased AS5304T so that I can watch movie stored in the NAS on TV through the HDMI connection.

Whenever I try to install "kodi_18.0.0.r2_x86-64_other_models.apk", my NAS returns a warning "Unable to upload. The file format is invalid for this system. (Ref. 6210)".

Kindly advise the process step-by-step.

A million thanks.

You should download new file from here: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=11335
Then, ADM web -> App Central -> Management -> Manual Install -> Browser to select the downloaded file -> Upload.
