【Newsletter#107】 The Hospital Using the ASUSTOR NAS as Back Up Plan in the 21st Century

In order to improve quality and patient safety, modern hospitals use medical information systems in their own network, data analysis and AI artificial intelligence to develop smart medical services for the medical information system, HIS, also known as the Healthcare/Hospital Information System. Using the HIS has become an inevitable trend lately. While operating HIS, normal execution of the system may occur due to unpredictable hardware and software failures and may even damage the hospital database, reducing its reliability and availability. In addition to medical information, the HIS database also undertakes large-scale data processing, including, but not limited to daily registration fees, pharmacy information, prescriptions and hospitalizations. Every day, new data is generated and generated data may be as high as 300 GB, requiring a reliable solution to store all this data.

The hospital found that after purchasing the AS6212RD and connecting to the internal network, they assigned the corresponding IP addresses, installed the Avatar client on the server that needs to be backed up, and set up data backups and disaster recovery, they found that the AS6212RD was able to exceed their needs and improved hospital efficiency and medical quality.
