[SOLVED]AS6104T HDD LEDs state frozen

Post by melis »

Hello,
I have a problem with my NAS. Everything was fine till today. Now on my NAS, HDD LEDs are frozen on solid green state. Disks are working normally, but LEDs not blinking. NAS was rebooted few times, but it doesn't resolved my problem. I can't create support ticket, because support site returns PHP error during submitting. Can anyone help me?

Thanks and best regards.

Hi crazynas,

I resolved this issue myself.
- NAS shutdown
- removed all disks
- powered on NAS
- NAS shutdown
- placed all disks
- powered on NAS
LEDs works propertly, data not affected

Maybe it will be useable for someone else...

UPDATE:
For sure, in my case issue was caused by overheating.

Hi crazynas,
I have 4 x WDC WD20EFRX-68EUZN0. Drives are ok. In my case, cause of the problem was unit overheating. I removed side panel from RACK BOX and issue didn't occures again. With side panel mounted problem coming back after hour. I'm waiting for fans to my RACK BOX. Unfortunately, NAS is paleced with UPS in this box, and without ventilation system inside, temperature is too high.
