Im using EZ connect to use the myasustor DDNS service and URL.
How do you connect without EZ connect? Do you have static IP?
There is nothing showing up in the logs. Also when i try to reach it, it tells me im blocked, yet the black list is empty.
Meanwhile the support told me to reset and try again... Yeah! Thanks! And completely rely on their export/import settings function...

Re: Port Forwarding with EZ Connect?
system information --> log --> preference --> management tab --> check at least http.
DDNS is in 'manual connect' section , not in EZconnect. So EZconnect can be disabled, and you still have DDNS working. With dynamic IP, the only service you need is DDNS.
In manual connect, EZ router is disabled , because I preferred to configure the routers directly.
To connect only with DDNS, you just have to type in
https://xxxx.myasustor.com:8001 to access your NAS. ( the IP behind xxxx.myasustor.com is updated by DDNS )
In log , you should get records about DDNS updating your IP.

I suggest you to modify your external router configuration : add your internal router as DMZ device ( the device which receive ALL requests from outside , out of the port reserved for remote administration ).

Re: Port Forwarding with EZ Connect?
Oh i just had an enlightenment, quick question:
I have added the second router's IP and port for the ADM in the first router.
Then the IP of the NAS and ports for the ADM and apps in the second router.
ADM works, apps not.
Is it that i need to open the ports for the apps with the second routers IP in the first router too?
Now that i think of it sounds like a logical approach...

Re: Port Forwarding with EZ Connect?
yes of course, you need to add each port you want to reach from outside in routing table of your 2 routers. That's why I suggest you to declare your inside router as dmz destination of your outside router : outside router will map every incoming traffic to your inside router. After that, you have to map only needed ports from your inside router to your NAS, either manually or with NAS EZrouter feature ( but I prefer much manually so I can disable Upnp in inside router ). Using DMZ feature on outside router avoid you to configure port mapping on outside router.

Re: Port Forwarding with EZ Connect?
Unfortunately the outside router is a chinese piece of crap and has no DMZ feature.
I have added all the ports instead. Works! Thanks again!
