weekly frequency fri vs Sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat

Post by miamia »

Hi again,
I bought Asustor AS-608 but I don't understand scheduled backup setting.

I want Asustor to synchronise data from our local ftp server (another computer) and store it
once a week (for example friday midnight). So frequency is weekly. Time
11:00PM. What happens, when I set as a day friday only (weekly frequency)? And what happens
when I select Sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat(weekly frequency)? What is the difference
between these day selections?

thanks

weekly fri means backup only once on friday. weekly sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, sat, means that you selective backupon sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri, and sat ==> but wooops    ... you got to select daily frequency if you choose so.

I like this flexibility because if I want to back up on 2 times a week, then I can select mon, thu.

Or if I want to back up 5 times in a month, then I can choose flexibly 5 days out of the monthly frequency...

mm...quite good design I would say.
