Can multiple users use the same app with their own settings?

Post by stvn »

Hello,

Is it possible to have user specific settings for individual apps? For instance, I want to have multiple users have access to download or utorrent, but want to be able to have each user download to their own private folders. Is that possible?

Thanks

Yes it is possible. But what kind of app are you talking about?
The type that you have mentioned are mostly used in security domains. Like Esset security gives you 4 registered accounts. All link to one main accounts. That means you can use that product on 4 devices and each device will maintain its own log.

Hello
I had the same problem with ftpexplorer has you have for utorrent : I opened a ticket in 12/2015 : case #9074 :

hi
I started using ftpexplorer with admin account : I started FTPexplorer and created two ftp loggin within. Once logged off from admin account and logged in with a other user account (who have access to FTPexplorer)onto NAS interface, I can see the two FTP login in parameters of FTPexplorer.
this kind of parameters are supposed to be user dependant.

Response from support:

Thanks for your reply and information provided.
Currently, FTPexplorer parameters are common to all NAS users.
We will add this feature in near future.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Try creating a ticket, and by the way, ask that "near future" means... :(

Nobody will give clear dates to resolve the issue. I have had experience with them. Near Futures means near future, no body knows when it's gonna arrive.
