cpu and system temperature

Post by asustoruser »

Hi,

I' posting in this section because there isn't any section where my question seems to belong to.

I'm interested in the "normal" cpu and system temperature of the AS-604T. At the moment I've only one disk in my nas without any write/read access. The system information tells me that the temperature of the cpu/system is about 65 °C which seems rather high for me. And as high temperatures mean a louder fan I wonder what the cpu temperature of other users' nas is. I saw a photo in the web where the cpu temperature says 53°.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

thanks for your fast reply. Is you data without disk access (nas in idle state)?

Hi guys,

The CPU temperature is the "core" (internal) temperature which retrieves from the CPU directly, that means, there is nothing to do with the system temperature which is the motherboard temperature. And 60 C is pretty safe for Intel Atom processor, you can find many references on the Internet, the upper-limit temp. of the processor in your 602T is 100 C.

Thank you James,

my Nas showed 65° C for both cpu and system temperature.

Now I've updated the firmware and the temperature is 53 (system) / 65 (cpu).
