Samsung TV

The UPnP AV Media Server app can turn your NAS into your home multimedia streaming server. As long as you have devices that support UPnP or DLNA (for example, SONY BRAVIA TV or PlayStation3), you can directly browse and stream the pictures, music and videos stored on your NAS.

Any chance of getting Media Server working with Samsung Smart TV?

I can see everything, but when selected all I get is "not supported format"

Thanks

That's what I'm doing now.. works great...for video.. but the Samsung Plex app doesn't support music files. Also like to do a quick preview before running it through Plex. I know Plex has DNLA, but I'll have to tell plex where my music is and let it figure that mess out.

Well.. I don't use the tv speakers.. But, it is nice to just have you music collection on the nas and use the tv to browse through it.

Dear Mickes,

The V1.0.0.r964 will be released later today, you can update it via App central.
Please give it a try and feel free to let me know how it goes, ok?
Many thanks,

Nope.. same thing..
I can see all the files, the TV even finds and reads my old playlists (.m3u)... But all files show up as unsupported format when trying to play. Tried avi, mkv, and mp3.

I updated, tried disabling and restarting, then removed and re-installed.
