ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center 2.2 beta increases Mac display performance by 30%. Addition of electronic maps that allows users to quickly survey all cameras deployed in large scale environments, along with ONVIF Profile S certification that significantly expands camera compatibility and gives system integrators a competitive advantage.
Taipei, Taiwan, November 25th, 2014 – ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, has announced the release of the Surveillance Center 2.2 beta version. This version of Surveillance Center features full support for ONVIF Profile S giving system integrators and more flexibility and choice when creating surveillance systems. Also featured are intuitive PTZ controls and increased Mac system display performance by over 30%. Furthermore, newly added interactive electronic maps provide a visual method for administrators to get an overall view of all IP cameras being deployed in large scale surveillance environments, allowing them to quickly get a handle on the current situation. When an event occurs, it will instantly appear on the map interface, giving administrators the ability to see the location of the event and instantly view real-time video feeds from the location. Administrators can then decide on the type of action to take, effectively limiting the potential damage that could happen.
“With regards to large scale surveillance environments the ability to quickly and accurately survey the current situation in each and every corner should be at the heart of an ideal surveillance solution,” said James Su, Product Manager at ASUSTOR. “Surveillance Center 2.2 offers unparalleled deployment flexibility and enterprise-class surveillance functionality, providing a bigger competitive edge to system integrators.”
ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center is the first in the world to support HDMI local output providing users with 4 free camera channels and cross platform browsing on Windows and Mac Web browsers. Additionally, AiSecure, the mobile version of Surveillance Center, allows users to view surveillance feeds from anywhere and at any time. After upgrading to Surveillance Center 2.2, users will be able to utilize an intuitive configuration wizard to search and install ONVIF Profile S compatible devices. Compatibility for ONVIF motion detection and alarm input devices is also supported. Furthermore, comprehensive PTZ functionality allows users to pan and tilt cameras up, down, left and right in addition to zooming in and out and configuring movement to preset points. And comprehensive camera video settings allow for the configuration of video format, resolution, frame rate, quality, and whether or not to transfer sound.
Surveillance Center 2.2 also supports interactive electronic maps. When an alarm event occurs, the associated IP camera or alarm input device will turn red on the map, indicating the location of the event. Users can click on IP cameras on the map interface in order to view their live feeds. Moreover, users can also upload maps and use the link function to conveniently switch to related maps.
The Surveillance Center 2.2 beta is available for all ASUSTOR NAS devices. Users can install it free of charge from ASUSTOR’s App Central to enjoy a versatile and ideal Surveillance Solution.
