How to install apache mod_rewrite?

One of the websites I use here requires mod_rewrite to be used by Apache.

I looks like moving the file /volume0/user/builtin/etc/apache2/mods-available/rewrite.conf
to /volume0/user/builtin/etc/apache2/mods-enabled/rewrite.conf
should do it, but I would really like to know before I mess things up!

Then, how do I to restart apache. Do I have to power down the NAS?

I'm not sure if your file movement is correct or not. However, you can restart apache by: disable it, then enable it again (ADM web page -> Services -> Web Server).
