ASUSTOR announces that Grandstream IP cameras have been verified as being compatible with all ASUSTOR NAS devices, providing a multitude of complementary options for users of both Grandstream and ASUSTOR products, enabling users to create a reliable surveillance solution with a high price to performance ratio.
Taipei, Taiwan, June 26th, 2014 –ASUSTOR Inc., a leading innovator and provider of network storage solutions, announced today that it has completed an integration with Grandstream Networks, adding compatibility for Grandstream’s IP cameras to all ASUSTOR NAS devices. ASUSTOR NAS users will now get to enjoy an even wider range of options and flexibility when choosing cameras to create customized surveillance solutions.
“We are excited to announce this new partnership between Grandstream and ASUSTOR and we are thrilled about the possibilities this relationship offers to our customers,” said David Li, CEO of Grandstream. “ASUSTOR’s NAS devices are a great option for users of Grandstream IP Cameras as they offer a versatile NAS server that functions as a powerful NVR with use of the Surveillance Center App. Grandstream’s IP Cameras offer a tremendous tool to ASUSTOR users to enable them to create a comprehensive recording and monitoring solution with cameras that lead the market in terms of price feature ratio.”
"We are very pleased to be collaborating with Grandstream in providing this ideal Surveillance Solution to the market," said James Su, Product Manager at ASUSTOR. "ASUSTOR products offer a high degree of compatibility for a wide range of camera models. We believe that this integration will provide further options to all our users and especially our European users to conveniently create an optimal surveillance solution for themselves. ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center features an array of cutting edge functions such as add-on camera licenses, camera patrol paths and intelligent video analytics in addition to the ability to view surveillance feeds directly from computers, TVs or even on the go via the mobile app for mobile devices.”
ASUSTOR’s Surveillance Center is the first in the world to support the local output of surveillance feeds from a NAS via HDMI. Users are able to enjoy the convenience of viewing their surveillance feeds directly on their TV without having to use a computer. While viewing, users can choose between single and four feed displays as well as automatic cycling between single feeds. Furthermore, users can use the official ASUSTOR remote, AiRemote mobile app, or a keyboard and mouse to control their viewing experience.
Compatibility with Grandstream IP cameras is being introduced in the new Surveillance Center 2.1 Beta version. After upgrading to the Surveillance Center 2.1 Beta version, users will be able to enjoy new functions such as RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) support, camera channel expansion, cross-platform web browsing of surveillance feeds (Windows and Mac OS X) and much more.
