Any issues with Transmission coexistance?

Post by canufrank »

I know that ASUSTOR's Download Center uses Transmission at its engine.

However, the new, official Transmission app is now available and installs to it's own location (/volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/transmission).

Do these apps share any settings? Are there any issues using them both together?

If anyone is interested, they share neither libraries nor settings, except that both default to /volume1/Downloads as the default directory for completed files.

Also fyi, Download-Center uses 9999 for RPC (e.g. connecting Remote Transmission) and 55555 for incoming connections, by default.
The Transmission app uses 9091 for RPC and 51413 for incoming connections, by default.
