[Kodi 17.6] re-package version for x86_64 models.

Hi,
I cannot find a suitable board to post this information, and I can just post it here first.

I just try to re-package Kodi 17.6 version to testing in AS3204T and AS6102T.
It seems work normally.

If you didn't get the backup version ready, and you can try to get my testing version for x86_64 models.

Testing site:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h5NOKs ... sp=sharing

https://mega.nz/#!3TQHjSAR!UC97Uchd41hZ ... IzkJGpO2-I

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jw7pys2159ayo ... 4.apk?dl=0

AS50/51/31/32/61/62/63/64/70 are all intel x86_64 architectures, this version should be OK for these models,
but I didn't tested in all these models.

I'm not a senior tech guy, I may not able to fix any issues related to Kodi.
I wish that there are some other senior tech developers will have time to provide kodi 18 version. 8-) 8-)

Regards,

Hi,

For who's kodi are impacted by Asustor Xorg 10.14.7.R35. (No sound without enable passthrough for AC3/DTS audio)
You can find previous Xorg 10.14.7.R33 from the followings path, and follow up the followings steps to install Apps.

Reference : viewtopic.php?f=98&t=9545&start=10#p30956

1. Visit : https://www.asustor.com/service/downloads

Select your NAS model, then Select "App Download".
You can download Remote-Center (1.0.0.r157), Web-Browser (1.0.0.R5) and AsPortal (2.2.4.r1213) from this page.

2. Visit : https://appdownload.asustor.com/

Find your corresponding Xorg 10.14.7.R33 file by different models.

AS31, AS32: 0010_999_1512704073_xorg_10.14.7.R33_x86-64.apk
AS50, AS51: 0010_999_1512708048_xorg_10.14.7.R33_x86-64.apk
AS61, AS62: 0010_999_1512702930_xorg_10.14.7.R33_x86-64.apk
AS63, AS64: 0010_999_1512706376_xorg_10.14.7.R33_x86-64.apk
AS70: 0010_999_1512704969_xorg_10.14.7.R33_x86-64.apk

3. Download my testing kodi (17.6.0.r03) from the above post if you still not download yet.

4. You need to remove Xorg 10.14.7.R35 from App Central first, and it will remove other dependent Apps, too.

5. You MUST need to "manually install" each apps by the followings sequence, that why you need to download the apk files first.
Xorg (R33) -> Remote-Center -> Web-Browser -> AsPortal -> kodi

Then, this testing kodi version can work.

PS:
1. If you want to update any Apps from App Central, and found the information that App Central tell you this App is dependent on Xorg,
please don't update this App from App Central. It will auto update Xorg to the latest version 10.14.7.R35.
You also need to find the apk files from the site listed above, and manually install it.

2. I'm still trying to find solution for my testing kodi version to use private Xorg library, not Asustor Xorg library to avoid this kind of issue.

Thanks so much for this Patrick. You really saved my ass. I bought an Asustor NAS just for Kodi only to realise once I loaded it up that they had stopped support! Did you ever have any luck with the private Xorg library?

Another solution is my post here: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=9545&start=20
You need only to copy the file in the package and can update all apps to newest version and ac3 sound is still there in kodi :)

Thanks bimbo !!

This solution is more easily to solve the problem, and it will not be impacted by Xorg and FFMPEG version released by Asustor.
I will find time to re-build the new version of kodi and includes the file to correct path.
:) :) :)

Docker is a program for running programs or images in an isolated container. The image is prepackaged with all the libraries required to run the program and doesn't need any libraries installed by Asustor. In theory it will solve all the kodi issues as the image is downloaded from a Docker repository and not the Asustor app store. Think of it as an alternative app store.
