[Kodi 18.9] Support ASUSTOR x86-64 models for ADM 4.1 and ADM 4.2 - Add link for AS54

Post by Patrick »

Hello,

ASUSTOR recently launched a new model Lockerstor Gen2 (AS67), Flashstor (FS67) and now AS54 series, which has a great improvement in hardware.
ADM 4.2 is officially release for other x86-64 models now. (From ASUSTOR announcement, AS50/51 and AS70 will not support ADM 4.1.)
Linux Kernel and Xorg updated again, so the Kodi need to be re-built again.

The original plan was to release Kodi 19 directly, but I met many problems to build and get Kodi 19 working on ADM 4.1.
Finally, Kodi 19 and 20 need to upgrade Xorg, and ASUSTOR will plan to upgrade Xorg later.

Therefore, 18.9 is provided for users who needed for ADM 4.1 and ADM 4.2.

This version can only be installed on x86-64 models with ADM 4.1 or ADM 4.2, please make sure some other related apps (ASUSTOR Portal, Xorg, etc.) are installed well.

Note: Please make sure you select correct HDMI output device on Kodi Settings while you enable the audio passthrough.

Have a try if you needed !

After the ADM (4.1.0.RJ72) update, KODI (kodi_18 .9.0.R4) can be started, but unfortunately it does not see the (Pulse-Eight USB) - CEC adapter on HDMI does not work.

The error message is "Could not reach CEC adapter, libCEC not found on system".

After the ADM (4.1 and 4.2) update, KODI (kodi_18 .9.0.R4 and R5) still starts fine, but unfortunately it does not see the (Pulse-Eight USB) - CEC adapter on the HDMI:

- "Could not reach CEC adapter, libCEC not found on system". - what could be the problem, what could be the solution?

I don't see UPNP in Kodi services in this version. Is there reason to it?

That option is completely missing from version R4 (on 4.1.0.RJD1), it was present before in version R2.

It seem like it was compiled without this module, that's why I am asking @Patrick.
