Help newbie moving from Qnap to Asustor

Post by scottypro »

Hello all
I have just got myself a 4 bay Asustor, moved from a 2 bay Qnap.
How do I manually install an app with ADM ????

When I go to App Central and management at the bottom and click on the manual install tab, it will not let me browse when I click on the browse button.
Can someone explain what I am doing wrong. FWIW the app I am trying to install is Plex from the Plex website which is a later version than the one on the app central store.

EDIT* forgot to mention I am using Mac OS Mojave with Safari 14 if it makes any difference.

I'm no Mac user but the browse works with most Windows/Linux desktop and mobile browsers I've tried. How you tried with Chrome?

- 4x10TB Toshiba RAID10 Ext4-Journal=Off
External 5 Bay USB3:

- 480GB Intel SSD for modded dm-cache (initramfs auto update patch) and Apps

Thank you very much Nazar, that worked a treat, don't know why Safari would not work though. Once again Thank you.

No problem glad it helps. I only use Mac at times for developement work but never use Safari. Think you should open a ticket with Asustor support to report this https://support.asustor.com/ they should fix it in the future.
