AS-U2.5G Unable to advertise 2500 speed after update to

So after the update to 3.5.1.R8C1 my AS-U2.5G stopped working at the speed it's supposed to.
It will no longer allow me to set advertise speed of 2500 and therefore it now works as another 1Gbps interface, so if you're using an AS-U2.5G adapter think twice before the ADM update to 3.5.1.R8C1

Before the update I had this working by running a script at system startup in which I had configured the advertised speed with ethtool

ethtool -s eth4 advertise 8028
ethtool -r eth4

After the update however it only sets the 100 and 1000 advertise speeds
when I try to set only 2500 via ethtool i get this

ethtool -s eth4 advertise 0x8000
Cannot set new settings: Invalid argument

I opened a case with asustor support, hopefully they can sort this out.
Any thoughts or input you guys may have on this is welcome.
