Media Converter creates files without audio

Hello all. Tried to convert several avi and mkv files and got mp4 files without audio.
Is there any option to add audio to the destination file? Or it is by design to exclude the audio while converting the file?

Depends on formats. Normally it should be able to convert if it can play.
