External Mail collection

What is the best way to collect external mail via pop3 and deliver it to the users inbox?
Can this feature be added in future releases of Asustor Mailserver and also perhaps in the Roundcube client so each user can then manage their own pop3 connection details?
Synology Mailstation and Mail sever have this customisation and in the past I found this very useful.
