Albums with Various Artists

Does anyone have any recommendations on tagging albums with various artists? What I've got currently is the 'album artist' set to something like "Various" and the contributing artists set to the actual performer. This results in the songs showing up correctly in AiMusic in Artist view, but the album is listed multiple times in Album view. It appears to subgroup automatically by the contributing artist and not the album artist.

By comparison, in Amazon Music if I do the exact same thing the album shows up once in album view but under each performer in artist view. Any thoughts on this?
