MiniDLNA 1.0.1.r28 on ADM 3.0

The UPnP AV Media Server app can turn your NAS into your home’s multimedia streaming server. As long as you have devices that support UPnP or DLNA (for example, SONY BRAVIA TV or PlayStation3R), you can directly browse and stream the pictures, music and videos stored on your NAS. Additionally, you can use UPnP/DLNA compatible applications on your mobile device (for example, a notebook, iPhone or iPad) to stream multimedia files from your NAS. Reminder: The media formats that are playable may vary between devices.

MiniDLNA 1.0.1.r28 on ADM 3.0

Post by akirabbq »

MiniDLNA switch is on under App Central but it does nothing at all. Does this version compatible with the current version of FFMpeg (3.3.2.r10)?

When I start manually under console:

admin@yukibbq-as:/volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/minidlna/bin $ ./minidlnad
./minidlnad: error while loading shared libraries: libavformat.so.56: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
admin@yukibbq-as:/volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/minidlna/bin $

I have a Asustor A3202T. Thx.

The ffmpeg libraries seem upgraded: "./volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/ffmpeg/lib/libavformat.so.57". Maybe, this app needs to be re-built with the latest libraries. Or you can try to create a symbolic link (i.e., link 57 to 56).

Symbolic links do not work, I think those libs also look for some matching string:

../bin/minidlnad: /volume1/.@plugins/AppCentral/minidlna/lib/libavformat.so.56: version `LIBAVFORMAT_56' not found (required by ../bin/minidlnad)

Maybe have to wait for an updated verison.

Yep, have the same problem, created a support ticket with Asustor. Not sure if this is of any use since it is a 3rd party app?

Got a reply from support today:
(Apologies for posting in 3 locations)

The miniDLNA has some problem with FFMPEG.3.3.2.r10. library.
The miniDLNA was blocked which it can not find its library libavformat.so.52. ( provided by FFMPEG package)
We will fix it ASAP. Whenever it is fixed, we will update in App Central right away.

There is an update release from the MiniDLNA App (1.0.1.r29) in App Central.

It works again! Happy camper.
