Owncloud 8

ownCloud gives you universal access to your files through a web interface or WebDAV. It also provides a platform to easily view & sync your contacts, calendars and bookmarks across all your devices and enables basic editing right on the web. Installation has minimal server requirements, does not need special permissions and is quick. ownCloud is extendable via a simple but powerful API for applications and plugins.

the instructions are pretty much same as in this thread http://forum.asustor.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=2831

I used ownclouds built in updater to make sure i was on latest version, then downloaded latest zip from owncloud and unpacked it on desktop

I put owncloud in maintenance mode

used winscp logged in as admin, renamed old owncloud folder to owncloud.old, uploaded new owncloud folder, copied over config and data and followed instructions on owncloud for upgrade, pretty fast and painless

Try this one:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mr9duwa2gfb3 ... y.apk?dl=0
it's submitted to asusator and waiting for their review.

Enjoy.
PS. I didn't handle the plugin backup... does anyone have issue with that?

Manually updated and get the following error when I try to open owncloud.
This version of ownCloud requires at least PHP 5.4.0
You are currently running 5.3.27. Please update your PHP version.
@wde : are you with ADM 2.3 or ADM 2.4 beta? I have the same error message with ADM 2.4
@Leecool : thank you very very very much !

I'm with ADM 2.4 Beta.
Updating to PHP Beta allows ownCloud 8.0 to install, thankyou!
Now I need to find out how to deal with this warning message in ownCloud admin:
PHP charset is not set to UTF-8. This can cause major issues with non-ASCII characters in file names. We highly recommend to change the value of 'default_charset' php.ini to 'UTF-8'
.
