pptp broken in 2.7

I was using PPTP for a connection in 2.6. Did the upgrade to 2.7 and now it doesn't work.
I tried configuring L2TP/IPSEC and it doesn't work either. But i wasn't using it in 2.6 so no idea if its a preexisting issue.
any ideas?

I decided to try it from my phone and it worked. So, i'm thinking its a windows 10 compatibility issue. But it used to work in 2.6 so it seems like the compatibility issue was created after the upgrade to 2.7
