So I'm really starting to regret buying an Asustor. Nothing regarding VPN seems to be working. The client is half-broken as it doesn't do correct routing unless sending all traffic through it. You cannot run the client and the server att the same time. Really. Synology has been able to do that for years. I can't think of anything nice to say. Sorry. I'm a bit upset.
But for my biggest gripe right now. There's no way of getting the vpn server to accept connections. For pptp I just get failed chap authentication.

Have you reported this to Asustor?
I am using the VPN-server everyday via Open-VPN and it works a complete charm.

Hey Falken,
could you tell me how you configure the OpenVPN app on your phone? I have an iphone and I cannot get it to work. I send over the config file and import into the OpenVPN app, but the connection never occurs and times out.
Really thankful if you could give me a guide. The instructions available from the asustor college don't cut it.
