Odd problem with my AS-202TE

Post by bossyman15 »

For everything else, my NAS works just fine. Accessing files, uploading/downloading files, streaming movies, even using Asustor apps to access my NAS works all fine.

Only one thing doesn't work right is accessing NAS OS via IP address. When I do I get Air OS login screen. My password doesn't work with that login. It just happened one day I'm not sure what happened.

How can I fix this?

Is your router perhaps an AirOS machine? If so, then the port your NAS is set up on needs to be changed to a different one, in order to access it's web app.

If not, then there is another machine on the port. The port is typically 8000 for http and 8001 for https. Changing it to something else means you need to change the address you use to include the correct port number.

Ah, I figured it out. I typed in the wrong IP address. all is fine now.

The AirOs IP address I mistakenly typed in remains a mystery I need to figure out.
