AS-202TE - After update printer do not work

Hello,

I have a problem with my AS-202TE.
I updated my AS-202TE to 2.3.0.RBSC.
Since the update the printer does not work.
I see the printer in the external device settings.
It is connected to the AS-202TE via USB.
I can install the printer in the windows.
But the printer does not work.
The printer is a HP ENVY 4500.
The printer works.
I can print via wireless LAN.

I have heard that there is an ADM issue and they are working on fixing the issue now.

Yes, they are working on the fix... As they put in things like the ugly icons and ignore repeated requests for functions the users are asking for. In other words, the bugs and requested features aren't making the list, but eye-candy is.

So, as it sits now, we have issues with USB drives, keyboards/mice and printers. It would seem that the entire USB handling code has been messed up somehow, and needs to either be reverted or redone. Either can't be THAT hard to do, if the coding is modular (like Linux is) so SOMETIME in the next 5 years we might see fixes for it....

I found a solution in the German forum.

You have to add a new printer.
-> Network printer
-> You have to click on "searched printer is not listed"
-> http://IP-Number_of_the_NAS:631/printers/printername (example: http://192.168.178.15:631/printers/ENVY_4500_series
-> Select the correct drivers
Finish.
The printer should work.
In the German forum something was written of "standart printer port"

Hi,
I can confirm the printer problem (Xerox Phaser 3130 PCL 6) on my AS-202TE. I can install the printer in “win7”, I can see it in “External Devices” on AS-202TE, however I cannot print anything including “Test page”. Before update to 2.3.0.RBSC , the printing on Phaser 3130 connected to AS-202TE was OK. Uninstalling the printer followed by its reinstall did not solve the problem.
I'm really disappointed with ADM 2.3 upgrade.

Same problem with NEC PR-L5600C (OEM of Xerox DocuPrint CP100) had occurred, but I was resolved in Schmidder's solutions.
