The linux utserver was beta and therefore rejected...

After a few years, uTorrent have finally updated their linux utserver... now v 3.3

I have submitted the new apkg to App Central.

If you want to test this before it is approved in App Central, just perform a manual install after downloading from here

I don't know if this works with (some or all) private trackers... please let me know

Doesn't work for me with either bakabt.me (anime bitorrent site) or Bitsoup (general private bittorrent site) via the standard save to watched folder method. I tried saving via chrome in AsustorPortal too just in case it was a machine ID issue, and no joy. Since I prefer Firefox on my Desktop I can't use the plugin suggested on the previous page. Curious thing is, uTorrent 3.3 is on bakabt.me as an accepted client, but they don't specify whether this is 3.3 desktop version only, or if it includes 3.3 server which still reports itself as a beta version (330B).

Adding torrents from public sites like kickass torrents works fine. As does adding the torrents from the private trackers to transmission. Can someone suggest a plugin/extension for FF to try?

utserver (3.3 or other) is very different to utorrent 3.3. The utserver (linux) is not well supported.

I can confirm that several private business, education and personal development trackers I'm a member of have this version of uTorrent blocked or banned.

I can load the torrents just fine, but the site never shows me as seeding or leaching (no connection).

It works fine on other private trackers that are more broad focused.

Any hope of being able to get QuickBox and the latest rTorrent ported? They are awesome.
