Local Output selection after using bluetooth out

Post by irony »

After connecting and outputting through a UE Megaboom bluetooth speaker then disconnecting from bluetooth output, selecting SPDIF or HDMI will no longer function. You must stop and restart Soundsgood for sound to again work on SPDIF/HDMI.

Hi irony,

Please let us know the following details, so we can do a simulation test in our lab to verify the issue.
1. Your NAS model.
2. The ADM version of your NAS.
3. The SoundsGood version you installed.

Thank you.

Hi irony,

We are unable to reproduce this issue in our lab. Please check below for our test environment and steps.

Test environment:
AS7010T (ADM 2.5.2.RCG2)
SoundsGood 1.0.2.r676
Xorg 10.14.7.R14
Bluetooth dongle: ASUS USB-BT400

Test steps:
1. Plug in Bluetooth dongle to AS7010T, associate the Bluetooth speaker to the dongle.
2. Activate SoundsGood and select the Bluetooth speaker as the output device.
3. Playback a song to ensure the Bluetooth connection is working, then stop the playback.
4. Disconnect the Bluetooth connection. Here we tested two conditions:
4-1. Safe disconnect by clicking "Disconnect" or "Remove" on ADM "External Devices" > "Bluetooth" page.
4-2. Directly plug out the Bluetooth dongle from NAS.
5. Go back to SoundsGood, and switch output device to "HDMI" or "SPDIF". It works correctly.

During the above test process, SoundsGood does not restart at all.

As to the issue you encountered, please first check the Xorg version and update to the latest 10.14.7.R14, since the local output drivers are included in Xorg app.

If the issue persists even you had already used 10.14.7.R14 Xorg, please let us know the brand and model name of your Bluetooth dongle, and how you disconnect the Bluetooth connection. Then we will investigate further. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you for your efforts.
I will test further and attempt to refine these symptoms, this seems to be bluetooth connected as I am having other problems that are seemingly related to bluetooth only for which I will open a new Topic.
