location of userdata / advancedsettings.xml

Currently XBMC can be used to play almost all of the popular audio and video formats around. It was designed for network playback allowing you to stream multimedia directly from your NAS via HDMI to any monitor or directly from the internet using practically any protocol available.

Post by vesperdose »

To use several xbmc installation you have to put a file named advancedsettings.xml in the userdata folder. I want to, so i have to... :D
It's a 606T running 2.4.0.RFU6 with xbmc 12.3.23

i opend a sftp/ssh connection and had a look around but can't find it...
can it be found via ssh? (connected as 'root')
where is it located?

thanks in advance

XBMC directory should be under /usr/local/AppCentral/xbmc/. You can "find" it under ssh session. "advancedsettings.xml" does not exist by default (I think). You should create one if you need. Oh, WinSCP is a good tool (a free software on PC) that you should try.

thank you!
the xml doesn't exist at first, that's right.
I created one and need to know where to place it.
