I have a pvr Humax 5050c and can not connect to the harddisk for back up the files with FTPexplorer.
Keep getting the message (Ref.5601) .
Connection will work with filezilla and windows explorer.
Anyone have an idea to solve the problem?

Hi c.tuynman
I own a Humax 5200C and i received the same error code (ref.5601).
Make sure you your host settings are correct, correct ip and portnr, normal login, Authentication: HumaxFTP, 0000
I then changed under advanced settings the transfermode from passive to active. Save this and try to connect again.
Now my Humax connected and i found its recordings under /my video.
Good luck, and lots of patience while a Humax is not the fastest ftp server

Hi c.tuynman,
You only asked about the ftp download and i am glad you got it working
Now off-topic
VLC can play .ts files, A standard Xbmc like in the Asustor cannot play those Humax .ts files directly (see "ziggo forum" or "tweakers forum - het grote 5050c topic"), you need to convert the files inside the ts container. In most cases you need to fix begin and end and of course skip some commercials so this is not a big problem, it only costs time
Xbmc is however capable of playing ftp content directly if you are able to tweak the sources.xml file
according to a post in het grote 5050c topic from RedBaret on 10 jan 2010.
(The devil is in the details, you can even use the menu inside xbmc but you need an editor to add "?active" at the end of the ftp string)
Good luck
