Hey!

My btSync had worked flawlessly until i rebooted the machine. Now webUI can't access any folders. It sees everything in rootdir "/" but can't start new syncs. I have tried reinstalling. "ps aux" lists that process is running by root so there shouldn't be file access problems. When choosing folder I can only see loading icon :O. What to do?

When you say you tried reinstalling, was this a complete uninstall and then install?
Have you tried uninstalling, rebooting and then installing?

Was anything else updated or installed at the time this stopped working?

Ok I tried that and it works. Problem is just that every time I need to reboot Asustor also my Bittorrent Sync stops working afterwards.

If you disable and enable after rebooting, does it work?

I can't see what should prevent this starting correctly on reboot.

Are these reboots actually controlled shutdowns, or are these power failures or otherwise hard crashes by removing power?

Sorry for bothering.

Same issue here: 'invalid request'.

It can not be the version as cause of trouble, because i downloaded the version from Februrary right now and installed it, but same error.

Any suggestions to workaround or solve it?
What i already did:
- Reboot the NAS -> and..
- turn the app 'on' and 'off'
- Uninstall -Reinstall the App
- Tried with an older Version

Thanks

so where does the "invalid request" occur? is this when trying to access the webui? when trying to access and folder, or when trying to add a new sync?

This is what i get if i hit the Button "Bittorrent Sync" in the NAS Gui and the Browser opens the Page http://ip.of.the.nas:5555/gui.

I tried your suggestions with the different 'extensions'/'subpages' as well. /gui/en/index.html ans so on. no luck.

Dear clinton,

here you go

Code: Select all

root@LudwigII:/volume1/.@root # netstat -tulpn | grep :5555
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5555 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 23674/btsync
-sh: tcp: not found
seems 'ok'.

can you tell me how to 'clean up' everything from the app? If i deinstall it, is it definetely 'cleaned' or is there still some configuration files left or something like that ?

I think that, because the older version won't work eighter.

Regards.

PS: What also is strange to me is: The config file won't work also for me. I can see the Task via htop/top. But if i configure the Client with the config file it won't work eighter. Something is completely wrong i guess.
Edit: Solved it with the config file: Double checked the comments. Hope this helps some of you. BR

Hi Clinton,

A simple question, do you plan to update to the latest beta?? I have it on synology and it would be awesome to have it also on my asustor :)

Many thanks for your feedback!
