can not get my windows PC to play media in media player

The UPnP Media Server V2 App can turn your NAS into your home's multimedia streaming server.
As long as you have devices that support UPnP or DLNA (for example, SONY BRAVIA TV, SAMSUNG TV or PlayStation 3),
you can directly browse and stream the media files stored on your NAS.

can not get my windows PC to play media in media player

Post by altugk »

Hi,

I have an 602T.
I can not get my Windows 8.1 PC on the same network to see my Asustor as a media server in media player.
Also when I try with my xbox 360 asustor appears as a server but appears empty.

What could be wrong?

Thank you very much.

Mine is AS-604T. Under Win 7 Windows Media Player, I can see right away my NAS name appear in the lower left. When you click the NAS, then the category of music, video, photo, recorded programs appear.

I have installed uPnP and uPnP 2 in the App Central.
