I was fixing an issue with post processing which has lead to successful post processing but it creates a Unix Executable File, instead of video file, at the destination. The issue I was fixing was renamer not moving my files to the destination upon download. To fix this I gave it permission via CHMOD 0777. Is this what may be causing the issue? I cant connect the two.

I just checked settings, after having the use ssh to restart the app, and saw I entered 777 for folder and file permissions. But I can across another post saying it should be 0777. Or should it be 0776?

Either 0777 or 0776 or 0766 depending on what permissions you want to set.

Also, in CouchPotato, settings, renamer make sure your file naming option ends with .<ext>
Without this it will create an extension-less file.
If this has happened, just rename the files to add .mkv or .avi etc to the end of the file names.
