That is a weird issue. Might it be that you live in China? the only occurrence i have seen that this installation failed is with a person behind the great chinese firewall, which blocked access to the git website.

quickest for me to check what is going wrong is to have a remote look via teamviewer or direct ssh access to your nas. would that be possible?

Ok, found and fixed the issue.

Because the topic starter initially tried to install the packages without the git package installed, the installation failed.
The current asustor firmware (1.0.8 and earlier) does not handle failed installations ok, and leaves the partially installed packages behind.

These partially installed packages prevented the subsequent installations to succeed after installing and fullfilling the git dependency.

After i'd manually removed alle traces in resource.conf app-config.json, app-priv, ezrouter, and packages.json installation succeeded without any issues.
We do had one interface glitch with the sickbeard package though. it did not show in the portal page nor under installaed packages, but it was running. after reopening the page (5 minutes later) it eventually showed like a normal package.

@James: Please focus on correctly removing all traces when an install fails in appcentral.
