Plex Notification Failure

Hi,
Whenever Sickbeard attempts to notify my Plex server of a new download this error appears in the log,
CP Server Thread-7 :: PLEXNotifier: coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, instance found
and Plex does not update.
any help would be appreaciated.
