Sickbeard dead?

Sick Beard is a PVR for newsgroup users (with limited torrent support). It watches for new episodes of your favorite shows and when they are posted it downloads them, sorts and renames them, and optionally generates metadata for them. It currently supports NZBs.org, NZBMatrix, NZBs'R'Us, Newzbin, Womble's Index, NZB.su, TVTorrents and EZRSS and retrieves show information from theTVDB.com and TVRage.com.

Sickbeard dead?

Post by koymoy »

Hi,

Out of the blue SB has stopped working. Disabling/re-enable doesn't work and nor does a restart of nas. Haven't tried to uninstall/reinstall as i would like to avoid the long hazzle of adding shows etc....anyone experiencing the same?

Via ssh

Code: Select all

rm -rf /usr/local/AppCentral/sickbeard/SickBeard.pid
/usr/local/AppCentral/sickbeard/CONTROL/start-stop.sh restart
Seen this pop up a few times lately... did this happen after a system crash/forced shutdown?
I'll try and look into what is going on here.

Had the same problem too.
Your fix got it working though.

Not too sure what caused it, but I had tried restarting and doing a graceful shutdown already with no luck.

That did the trick - will report back if it dies in my again, after it sleeps/wakeup.

- I don't recall it to happen after a crash - although i did notice the other morning, that i woke up later than usual (1 hour) - so maybe a system crash has occured without me noticing...

Thanks for the quick solution! :-)

Just had this happen with both SickBeard and Headphones, above fix worked for both.

Hi Clinton,

Just to let you know, SB died again, but the same approach worked - so, I presume it's the same thing going on as last time - but it works again :-)
