Wait 40 sec / Trying to fetch NZB from ........

SABnzbd makes Usenet as simple and streamlined as possible by automating everything we can. All you have to do is add an .nzb. SABnzbd takes over from there, where it will be automatically downloaded, verified, repaired, extracted and filed away with zero human interaction.

Wait 40 sec / Trying to fetch NZB from ........

Post by Ianolga »

Hi All,
I had a problem with SAB today and couldn't get it started even when ssh SAB restart was used so I deleted SAB in frustration and re installed.
Set SAB up as normal, changed the api's on CouchPotato and SickRage, all good both programs talking to SAB. I change api's on my 2 NZB sites and download a test NZB from each site to the SAB watched folder which promptly scanned the folder and downloaded the file, post processing scripts ran as expected, fantastic !!!! whooo whoooo :lol:
I then selected a file from each NZB site and sent that file to SAB using the sites "Send to SAB" icon but SAB gets stuck trying to download the NZB file in the Queue with this message, (This also happens when SickRage and CouchPotato pass the NZB to SAB)
"WAIT .. sec / Trying to fetch NZB from https://.....
Did the obligatory search here and at the SAB forum but no joy, some discussion around Python but far too technical for me. Restarted both SAB and the NAS no luck, am I missing a setting in SAB somewhere?

SAB 20140701
Python 2.7.10.r10

Anyone point me in the right direction???

Thanks, Ian.

What does that version relate to? was this a SABnzbd update or firmware?

So that comment relates to the nzbToMedia scripts. while they do update, they cannot break SABnzbd.

The update to SABnzbd was to version 0.7.20.

Did this change in SABnzbd functionality coincide with an update of Python App?

Hi Clinton,
I updated Python sometime last week and it seemed to be working ok until SAB simply would not start, I then re-installed SAB and started to get the problems.

You'll have to point me in the direction of the logs, I'm not that tech savvy.
Do you have any ideas on what is happening?

I have done som research and run this script

import urllib

url = 'https://www.indexer.com/getnzb/xxx'

opener = urllib.FancyURLopener({})
fn, header = opener.retrieve(url)
print "\nheader is:\n", header
print "\nFirst 5 lines from webserver response:"
with open(fn) as myfile:
print myfile.read(50)

output:

Seems like it has to do with ssl certificate
