Hi all, I'm new to this forum and a first time Asustor NAS user. My model is the AS6104T and my problem is that one of my WD Red 4TB drives dropped out while I was downloading SWTOR onto an ISCSI Lun that I created for my Steam games and other various games and it also locked up my NAS to the point I could not log into the web interface!

I checked in the logs and I can not find any mention of a drive dropping out just a lot of warnings that my NAS did not shut down properly which is due to another issue of the NAS unit not restarting through software unless I physically power it down and power it back on, but that's for another thread.

I physically powered down the unit and powered it back on and now it's indicating that it's "Synchronizing", my question is should I be concerned that the drive is faulty or has anyone else experienced this issue?

The NAS unit and the drives were purchased together just over a month ago so I doubt it's a hardware failure but I'm sure someone more experienced on these forums will have a better idea of what might be the issue or at least where to look for the log files so as to correctly diagnose and repair the fault.

I have had issues finding any decent documentation on this product so any and all help will be much appreciated and I am willing to make a video to help others that may have the same or similar issues as myself :)

No, I did not encounter this issue before. However, if you know how to use "ssh", you can check "dmesg" to get the detailed log information (of course, if NAS is not really frozen when this happened). Normally many services might be blocked because of certain disk failure issues. But ssh should be fine (if network is working fine).
