Hi everyone,

I'm Michael, and it would be no surprise that I connected to this forum because I have an Asustor and also a query regarding it. But this is not the place so it can wait for a short while.

I'm in Australia, near Canberra, our capital city (the town of Googong - which is a real name!) where it is absolutely tippling down.

I've been involved in computers for some time: my first experience was with a Hewlett-Packard "programmable desktop calculator using HPL which was HP's version of Basic. I've built some in the past though for some time, I've moved away from that to laptops, the majority of which are Dell machines.

I am pretty much a retiree, and spend my days writing (novels, the third of which is nearing completion, and short stories), photographing landscapes, and avoiding chores that my wife generously finds for me.

I mostly use Linux (Mint, for now) and find it a real revelation after the archaic obtuseness of Windows, though I do have occasion to venture into the MS Universe.
