Hi
I have bought a Asustor 1102T with a Seagate Ironwolf 4tb drive running a windows 10 pro machine with latest updates, I can't see the Nas in file explorer or on the network, I previously had a simple Buffalo link station which was working ok, I only really need it to stream films/music to the TV downstairs, everything is connected via ethernet hope someone can help.

Did you try Asustor Control Center? Can you find NAS using this tool?

It might be the problem on your network or network settings. You can disable antivirus software and firewalls on PC first to have another trial.
If it does not work, you can try to reset NAS (hold reset button on the back of the NAS for 10 seconds. You should hear a beep sound). That should reset admin password and network settings on NAS. Then try ACC tool on PC...

So turned off the firewall and antivirus still not showing on the network re set the Nas (beep confirmed) re started PC still not showing, surely it can't be this hard, TV, AV amp and work laptop all showing on the network on the PC, Nas still showing in ACC & ADM?

Sounds weird. You can try to change switch port that connected to NAS. Check network link LED being correct.
