NAS going off line to Windows PC

Post by westaus »

Hi all,
I am having a problem where my AS5002 NAS seems to disconnect from any windows PC after about 3 days. I then have to reboot the NAS and it works fine for another 3 days or so. While it is off line to a PC I can still access media files from any smart TV.

Any help would be appreciated as I am getting no help by submitting tickets to tech support.

Cheers

Did you enable ADM defender function? It could be caused by ADM defender to lock the IP from your PC. (Windows might try different login credentials.) You can try to disable ADM defender first. If it is the reason, you can adjust defender's settings.

On the other hand, you can try to map NAS shared folders as network drives under Windows. (Windows command is "net use".) By this way, Windows should not try other credentials.
