I can now run command prompt as admin.
Don't do it in the Web Browser, instead type into the Windows File Explorer address bar "\\192.168.178.65\Home" like this (image from another site):

Type in the home share as well \\192.168.178.65\Home.

Think you can try enabling SMBv1 https://zappiti.uservoice.com/knowledge ... windows-10 but do take note of it's vulnerabilities.

"The network path was not found"

I am not keen on using Zappiti uservoice. I don’t really see the need. To me, its a win10 problem connecting to the network, which was found with your help.
My old Win7 computer still connects to the NAS via the wired network. My laptop (win10) connects to the NAS using wireless to/from the router.
That to me means the problem is with the network configuration on the new win10 machine. I think the answer to that is with a person with Win10 network configuration experience. I am unlikely to find that in a Asustor NAS help group. Hence, I will try to contact a person to come out and look at the win10 network settings.

I really do thank you for your help Nazar. It has proved to me the problem is the new computer win10 configuration.
Thank you.

NP, I'm sure if you get someone look into your Win10 it can be resolved easily. Without proper troubleshooting it's tough to check. I have several Windows, Mac and Linux OS as well, all no issues connecting to the NAS (same model as yours).

Any suggestions?

The ADM update is finally here:

Change log:

• Active Directory users can now access NAS through SMB using the NAS hostname.

Hope it solves your problem.

Hi Nazar, I have arranged an engineer to visit on Friday 10/2/23 in the morning. He is a small local company, and seems up to speed on networks and NAS. I will post the outcome here for all. I note the updated ADM is now available, I will wait to install it until I can see the NAS with windows explorer - dont want to possibly add more confusion to the situation.
Thank you Nasar for your help.

Hi Nazar,
Engineer visited and I can now see the NAS and log - in. The win10 computer has 2 lan ports. The port I was using (on an extension board) had gone faulty. Plugged into the other port connected directly to the motherboard, everything worked. It took some diagnosis, removing switches I have in circuit and things like that, but as soon as the motherboard port was connected to the router direct, everything worked. I don't know how it was working on the extension board port, poorly is all I can think, until failure. I really do thank you for your time and effort you put in on my behalf.
Just got to get use to the NAS unit now!
Regards
