Re: Model: AS 5304T
Well, I have waited for the New Year to pass, but no bug fix for windows as far as I can tell. I still cant access the NAS unit from the desktop running Win10.
Any suggestions?

Alan

Connect or map using IP of your NAS. Disable the ADM Defender's Auto Black List for the time being until the issue is fixed to avoid getting self-blocked.

Hi Nazar,
I can't connect to the NAS. Using ADM (states not ready) or using windows explorer (cant connect) from the new win10 computer (worked OK on old Win7 computer). A Laptop connecting on wireless can access the NAS using windows explorer - I dont have any NAS software on the laptop.

Forget about the NAS software. Let's get back to the basics.
1. Can your new Win10 ping the IP of the NAS?
2. In the Win10 Windows explore, can you type in and access \\whatever-your-nas-IP-is e.g. \\192.168.1.1?
3. Open an elevated cmd prompt (run as admin), enter:where the 192.168.1.1 is your NAS IP.
Please post screenshots for all the 3 points above for us to assist further. Disable your firewall if required.

Re: Model: AS 5304T
On new Win10:
Ping to 192.168.178.23 is unreachable
Ping to 192.168.178.62 is reachable, tried 3 times all ok.
Ping to 192.168.178.65 is reachable, tried 3 times all ok.
I know very little about NAS drives or networks. I changed the HTTP port, was 8000 and it was changed to 7500. I changed the HTTPS port was 8001 and it was changed to 8150. Both recommended by Asustor.
192.168.178.23 & 62 & 65 all show as being associaterd with AsusTec computing on a IP scan.
In win10 explorer the NAS appears in the left hand side network list. When I click on it, it gives "windows cannot access \\NAS"
Using ping (cant see how to run as admin) I get a blank screen for 192.168.178.23 & 62. 192.168.178.65 just flashes and clears the screen. I have now reached the board quota allowance on this site, cant upload any more at the moment.
Win10 firewall is disabled. I still have a firewall on the router on the router.
Thank you for your help so-far.

Re: Model: AS 5304T
Why 2-3 IPs? Unless you're doing load balancing or some special network setup, just only connect one LAN cable to the NAS. This will simplify things and avoid confusion during troubleshooting.
What about the \\192.168.178.65\Home or whatever your IP is? Can you access it from the Windows Explorer?
Post your screenshots on some free photo hosting service then share their links here.
Google search on how to run command prompt as admin.

Re: Model: AS 5304T
Not doing load sharing - far to complex for me! Have removed one LAN cable and re-booted NAS and computer, doesn't make any difference.
Cant access trhe NAS on any IP using windows explorer.

Will google command prompt as you suggest.
If you need more screen shots, please let me know.
Thank you.
