Hi !
Happy to have a AS5304T NAS, ADM 4.0.0.RMD2, 3x HDD Seagate IronWolf 8 TB in Raid5
My tranfere rate was 100MB/s (R/W) (I was in 1Gb network)
I do tests with a large video, and with Nas performance tester 1.7
I upgraded my Lan to have better performance, with 2x10Gb Switchs Qnap QSW-M408-4C
Computer => 10Gb Switch => 10Gb Switch => 2x2.5Gb Asustor
But my transfere still be 100MB/s
On computer I can check 10Gb (integrated Lan)
On NAS I can check 2x2.5Gb
On Switchs I can check 10Gb with computer, 10Gb between Switchs, and 2x2.5Gb with NAS
And no packet errors in stats
(I also tryed just 1x2.5Gb on NAS with same result)
My SSD on computer can do 7GB/s (WD_BLACK SN850 2 To NVMe)
My 3 HDD are able to R/W at 210MB/s
And Raid5 can speed up a bit ?
Does 100MB/s seem normal for you ?
Where that come from ?
Does Raid5 finaly slow down so much speed ? (NAS CPU = 40%)
I also don't understand
_ That I have the same speed in writing a smal file …
_ write a small file, and read the same file is not fast.
NAS don't have any cache ? (I seem to have 3GB of cache in Ram)
_ Same speed for read and for write ...
Or that mean that I have a Lan problem ? But where ?
My speed seem low (100MB/s for HDD 210MB/s & Lan 5Gb/s)

How did you test the network throughput? iometer might be a good tool for you.
I believe that there are something wrong in your test / environment for 100MB/s result. If you are sure that link speeds are correct (PC, switch and NAS), the problem might be caused by test tool. By the way, you should focus on one 2.5GbE port first to find out the problem. Then, go for link aggregation mode.

It's what I think, 100MB/s is poor …
I'm unable to test my network throughput.
The NAS is in my cave, with his switch.
No computer in my cave.
As I wrote, I just cheked.
_ 2.5Gb/s status in the NAS
_ 2.5GB/s status in the cave switch (link to NAS)
_ 10GB/s status in the cave switch (link to desktop switch)
_ 10GB/s status in the desktop switch (link to cave switch)
_ 10GB/s status in the desktop switch (my computer)
_ 10GB/s status in my computer
I tested few aggregation mode, and can monitor the corect result.
As I wrote, anyway, also tested with just 1x2.5GB/s … enought to go faster than 100MB/s.

The information that you provided is chaos...
- What's "cave"? Please define it.
- What's your test tool?
- Post 6 pictures related to your statements below:
2.5Gb/s status in the NAS
2.5GB/s status in the cave switch (link to NAS)
10GB/s status in the cave switch (link to desktop switch)
10GB/s status in the desktop switch (link to cave switch)

Re: My speed seem low (100MB/s for HDD 210MB/s & Lan 5Gb/s)
My cave is a room under my house. I don't think that it change something for my NAS …
Maybe my English is very poor, sorry.
I repeat my 1th post, I test transfer rate with a large video (on Win11), and "Nas performance tester 1.7"
I repeate a 3rd time, I haven't any tool to test my Lan bandwidth.
I just check the status !
NAS check on NAS (here, no link agrégation but enought to have better than 100MB/s)
NAS check on Switch Cave
Link Switches check on Switch Cave
PC check on Switch desktop
Link Switches check on Switch desktop
PC check on PC
Test transfert rate with video in W11
Test ransfere rate with NAS performance tester 1.7

All link speeds are correct...
"Nas performance tester" should be one client access only. The bottleneck might be caused by certain delay on your PC. I would suggest you to use "iometer" (you can google it and download it). The tool can simulate multiple clients to fill network bandwidth. Here are settings:
If you still get 1G throughput, you can try to connect NAS and PC directly (without switch). Then do another trial.

- Map a network drive from NAS first on your PC.
- Delete work 2, 3, 4 (disconnect selected work)
- Select work 1, select the mapped network drive from NAS, set outstanding IO to 8.
- Access Specification -> Add "64K, 100% read, 0% random"
- Duplicate work 1 to make 4 works. (start a duplicate of this works).
- Start tests.

Re: My speed seem low (100MB/s for HDD 210MB/s & Lan 5Gb/s)
My PC is not powerfull enought !!!
If my PC is not powerfull enought, no PC can do this in this planet
As mentioned, I have a WD_BLACK SN850 2 To NVMe 7GB/s ! (On PCIe 4)
As mentioned, my 10Gb/s Lan is integrated (GIGABYTE Z690 Aorus Master)
My CPU is a i7-12700K, with DDR5
Sadly, I can't connect directly my PC to my NAS.
I start to think that Asustor NAS is just a "cheap NAS" …
Wow … Iometer seem to be from another age …
And anyway, it don't see mapped disks on W11 (who still use mapped disk !?)
Very disgusting program !
I tested on C:/
It wrote 200GB in few second in one file, I had to stop it !
In exit, it don't clean test file !

I just tested my computer with another computer, connected on my desktop switch (only in 2.5Gb/s).
Transfer rate was 250MB/s without surprise ...

Re: My speed seem low (100MB/s for HDD 210MB/s & Lan 5Gb/s)
It's a NAS problem (no Lan, no my computer)
My last test :
I copy a big file (15GB)
From volume1 3x HDD Seagate IronWolf 8 TB 210MB/s capable
To volume2 1x SSD Kingston SV300S37A120G 450MB/s capable
Copy inside the NAS is below 100MB/s !!!

Not sure what's the possible case. However it sounds abnormal. You can send a support request to asustor to check it. https://support.asustor.com/
