[HOW TO] Wake on WAN for all ASUSTOR

Post by tpd25w »

Hi guys.
I found simple way how to wake on WAN old Asustor NAS.
1. You will need to have Asus router with Merlin system and configured DDNS.
2. On ASUSTOR enable and configure WOL and EZ Connect, EZ Router.
3. Log in into your router from https://xxx.asuscomm.com and navigate Network tools - Wake On LAN. Add your Nas into list and bookmark that page now.
Now you can wake up your NAS from anywhere in the world. After waking it up you can use web interface or ASUSTOR apps.
Enjoy.
Thanks

Tks tpd25w! I found a diferent way to "enable" WOW function on my Asustor AS6204T and worked like a charm. I'd like to share with you:

I used a TP-LINK router, DDNS and a free third-party app on android:

1) I created a IP/MAC Binding rule on my router:

2) I created a port fowarding rule on my router and fixed the 3000 port (can be any unused or unreserved) for receiving messages from the android app:

3) I downloaded the app Wake on Lan on the Play Store;

4) App configured:
