IPs trying to access my nas!

Post by Ubuntux »

Hi everybody,

I have had a few IPs trying to access my nas. I hope Asustor will create a smart IP ban list so the nas can block the IPs automatically, but until then i want to share the IPs that has tried to get access to my nas so far. Please feel free to share a list of IPs that has tried to access your NAS as well!

If your NAS is open to the world, its not unusual....opening ports to your NAS can be dangerous

How did you generate this list? I've been looking for a way to see date/time stamps of attempted accesses.
My NAS: Flashtor 6 FS6706T ADM: 4.3.0.RSB1 Router: Technicolor CGM4331COM (XB7)

I go to system information in ADM then select Log.
In the log you can search. If you search "login failure" without " "
then you can see all the login attempts that has failed with
date and time. I then go to a IP tracker (google it) and trace
the IP then i get a country and put it next to it..
I share this list to see if others has similar IPs that has tried
to access your nas. I have had NO successful attempts as what
i can see and yes my nas is used over the internet, but thats also
why i think its important to share our login failures made from
outsiders so we can block them.
I have blocked all the IPs in my nas' firewall in settings and adm defender.
I hope Asustor will create a smart firewall so all Asustor nas servers has a list of outsider IPs that has tried to access out nas and will then block them as soon as the same IP has tried to access lets say 5 - 10 Asustor nas servers so the rest of the nas server owners dosent need to block these IPs since its attacks.. i put my list in here because for now its done manually
I have added a image where you see in right upper corner i search
and then hit enter then you get same result. the one i painted over is a local IP
where you see it tells ADM in front of... (Im just being paranoid by hiding it) ;-)

Please be aware that i just have added a new IP to the bad IPs.
I will keep updating this list untill Asustor creates a smart firewall in their Asustor nas servers.
